You know what REALLY grinds my gears about the seduction community…

References to THE MATRIX…

I don’t mind Fight Club references (another movie from 1999) because I can see obvious correlations between it and changing your life for the better.

But when gurus make references to Neo and Morpheus… and “entering the matrix”… and swallowing different colored pills… and the real world vs. perception… and other theoretical mumbo jumbo; I get perturbed.

It is one of those movies everyone likes to pretend they understand because they consider themselves deep intellectuals. I can only imagine that somewhere out there right now there is a guy with a Che Guevara t-shirt and a girl with Lisa Loeb framed glasses discussing the movie while sipping overpriced organic double mocha cappuccinos in a franchised coffee shop that is trying to look hip, trendy and unique.

I’ll be honest; I never got the movie nor did I make any attempt to draw hidden meaning from it. The only thing I liked about it was the “bullet time” action and I liked that for about one minute.

Here’s my brief summary of the movie as a whole:

Two weird and creepy brothers wrote and directed The Matrix which stars Cowboy Curtis, Guido the killer pimp and “Ted” Theodore Logan. They threw in an unattractive female lead along with a bunch of nerdy talk and pseudy intellectual babble. When they opened the spigot out came liquid cow manure which everyone devoured like it was fucking Perrier.

Just because you didn’t get the movie doesn’t mean the analogy isn’t apt.

But I believe you can probably draw analogies from any movie and correlate them to the seduction community if you grab at enough straws.

All I’m asking is for gurus to draw analogies using movie that *I* like! :)

As far as “getting the movie”, I bet in reality the majority didn’t get it but I’m one of the few with the balls to admit I don’t get it.

…In fact, I bet those two weird brothers who wrote it didn’t get it and laughed when they took all these intellectual posers’ money to their bank.

I think “Speed Racer” is proof that they are clueless…

I think we should start using the movie “Groundhog Day” as an analogy…seriously, think about it….

    1. Asshole guy likes attractive cute girl
    2. Guy hits on girl and fails
    3. Guy attempts to adapt to what girl values
    4. Guy fails
    5. Guy repeats steps 3-4 one thousand times
    6. Guy still fails but manages to get some other skanky girls on the side
    7. Guy re-evaluates his perception of life
    8. Guy stops chasing girl and changes life
    9. Girl values guy’s view on life
    10. Guy gets girl….happy ending:)

    How’s that for an analogy!

    Love it!

I used to always say “I feel like I’m in the movie Groundhog Day” to my colleagues because every day seems the same at work.

I never thought about how it relates to pickup. The movie definitely shows that you need to learn from your mistakes and try different things in life in order to succeed.
