Sinn resigns from the Mystery Method… then reconciles the next day

With such a busy week I didn’t have the time to mention this earlier.

Sinn announced his resignation from the Mystery Method with a blog post around 9pm on Tuesday night. He soon took down the post.

On Wednesday he made a post announcing his reconciliation with MM.

MM has a lot of momentum in 2008 after a controversial 2007. Their “Love Systems” co-branding and the buzz from Cajun Keys to the VIP has put them in a good place. Hopefully they can really capitalize on it rather than have internal conflicts. We’ll see how receptive people are to their new Routines Manual.

UPDATE: Sinn has just released his new ebook “The Lay Reports Book” in affiliation with Savoy and Love Systems… Check it out…

Do you think Love Systems will be able to survive once they lose the Mystery Method name… as it is starting to look like they might?

If a season two of the Pickup Artist comes out they won’t be the ones capitalizing on the Mystery name.

While I think they’ve put out some good products.. once they lose the name will they just be another fish in a large pond?

    Just interested in your thoughts…

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll make a post promoting the podcast once you post it.

Obviously MM/LS are benefiting from using Mystery’s image and name.

In the CNN video Mystery is back to referring to his system as “The Mystery Method” instead of “The Venusian Arts”. That may be some foreshadowing.

MM/LS are definitely going to survive, no question.

They do have a following that is not related to their use of the “Mystery” name. There is a huge buzz about their instructor Derek “Cajun” from being on Keys on the VIP. They have at least six instructors who have their own blogs and each blog has several hundred feed subscribers.

They need to have a visible spokesperson. The only instructor I have seen video or even a picture of is Cajun. Whoever they pick they should put out a video product with him and make him the new face for LS if you ask me.

Mystery must have really made some bad business decisions if he contractually had to relinquish his brand name.

I think that LS has gained enough momentum to thrive alone. Savoy seems very intelligent and that Cajun tv appearance boost was a GREAT advertise for them. …

I was not impressed at all by Mystery Reality, while i was amazed by Cajun.

I think Love Systems has grown and prospered DESPITE Mystery not because of him. They’ve had to spend all this time dealing his controversy (which doesn’t really come from Mystery it comes from the guys hanging around him who want a piece of Mystery’s pie and have an interest in keeping him fighting with Love Systems) and they get associated with Mystery’s selling out for his crappy product last year and just in general Mystery has been resting on his laurels since The Game and hasn’t come up with anything new since then. The world has moved on…

The world may have moved on (debatable) but “The Mystery Method” name is still a highly profitable name/trademark and Savoy knows it and that’s why he is still using it while he has legal jurisdiction over it.

If that wasn’t the case as you allude to, why would they be still using it? All they would have to do is quit using the name and all that time spent dealing with the controversy would be over.

The Mystery Method name sells products; that’s a fact.

Love Systems will be successful without the Mystery Method name but they will lose business brought in by using the name.

Good points. From the outside, it’s sometimes hard to tell what’s going on.
