The following casting information showed up in todays Boston Herald:

That Boston Casting is desperately seeking single men. And aren’t we all? Casting czarina Angela Peri, who is in the throes of trying to find victims for the VH1 series “The Pick-Up Artist,” is on the hunt for quirky, brainiac males with zero social skills, good-looking guys who can’t find a gal, skinny guys, good-looking faux jocks and goofy passionate men who always say the wrong thing. Any of you gentlemen fit the bill? Send a photo and your pitch to hilary@bostoncasting.com.

Going to BostonCasting.com I found an old casting call:

THE PICK UP ARTIST–The VH1 Series

Have you always wanted to meet your Soul Mate but felt too shy to reach out? Boston Casting is seeking men 21-33(all ethnicities) who are interested in learning new skills to meet women. If interested please email a recent photo and a few sentences letting us know why we should consider you.

OPEN CALL … THURSDAY MARCH 27TH 12-6PM

129 BRAINTREE STREET

BOSTON, MA 02134

PLEASE BRING A HEADSHOT AND RESUME . UNION AND NONUNION ACTORS AND NONACTORS INVITED.

If you can not make the open call email hilary a headshot and resume to
hilary@bostoncasting.com

I’m guessing they are contracting casting firms throughout the country and there is nothing unique or to read into about the fact this firm is from Boston.

Wow, it’s funny because I’ve actually been to that particular casting agency about a year ago. They were looking for runners to be in a Nike commercial… I didn’t get accepted though.

If only I had read that tabloid…err….Boston Herald, then I could’ve been Mystery’s next super grand master double secret medallion wearing fluffy hatted PUA!
