Here’s the episode, watch it while it is up:

My opinion is extremely positive. I agree that Dr. Phil was actually quite good. At times it seemed like even he was defending the seduction community to the crowd. I think there was more footage and that it was ‘cut’ and ’spinned’ in about as favorable of a light as the seduction community is going to get on such a show. The bumper with non-seduction guys bragging about lying to women was complete bullshit though.

The Mystery Method guys did a good job. The Don was a rock star. I didn’t know who he was before this show but I definitely know who he is now.

Savoy was sharp and quick but I agree with Dr. Phil (gasp!!!) that some of his answers even lost me. I’m not a fan of him saying that The Mystery Method is not a part of the seduction community. I don’t think he was truthful and I don’t think his denial was even necessary.

Having instructors pretend to be students was to be expected. I would probably have done the same. If Ross wanted to call them on something why didn’t he call them on that?

As for Ross Jeffries, he was typical Ross Jeffries. He was on to try to portray The Mystery Method as dishonest, creepy and demeaning toward women but when it was all said and done it sure seemed like he was the one defending himself.

I think Ross may have been prodded to go on the show in attack mode but when Dr. Phil gave him the opportunity to explain his theories all he wanted to do is attack The Mystery Method. When he did talk about his NLP teachings he did a poor job selling himself.

It’s a toss-up on who will benefit the most from being on the show. I think The Mystery Method guys obviously came off as less creepy and more likeable to women. Ironically the fact that Ross came off as “creepy”, combative and sleazy (in regards to his marketing at least) will get more women talking and thus more guys listening and checking him and his products out. Based on search engine traffic it is no question that more people were looking for info on Ross than The Mystery Method after the show aired.

Overall it was fun, I don’t think any real “secrets” of the seduction community were exposed and my blog traffic more than doubled.

You can visit Ross Jeffries’ Speed Seduction site by clicking here. I recommend his Speed Seduction Starter Kit which includes a ton of MP3s and ebooks for under $30.

The Mystery Method company is now called “Love Systems“. Their introductory product for people new to their teachings is their Magic Bullets ebook while their Love Systems Routines Manual Vol 2 is their newest product.

To be honest with you, it’s a really great video, simply based on the fact that Dr. Phil bought into what the community is about, or the technique that the Mystery Method guys were showing him. What’s even better is that the crowd, specifically women started appreciating the techniques that we used since we had to study and go through all this bullshit just to attract them and show what a real relationship with a real man should be like

what the hell did the lady who got conned have to do with PUAs. People get conned period. Some shy guy studying pickup is no more likely to con someone than anyone else out there.

Dr phil seemed pretty neutral (other than bringing the fat lady on)

I thought all the gurus there acted kind of weasely. I mean why deny what you teach?

People make “seduction” a bad word… but doesn’t everyone want to be seduced? I mean isn’t that what we all really want? Someone to seduce us?

I’ll always have a soft spot for Ross since he got me started.. but man he just needs to keep his mouth shut…

the only smart thing he said was “dont confuse the marketing with the message” i get his point… you have to draw guys in with the “get laid fast” slogans.. but in the end you’re really teaching them things that improve their social skills.

I’ve noticed the seach engine traffic for Ross Jeffries as well. In fact it is a tremendous amount, my unique hits a day trippled and they are almost all Ross Jeffries + Dr. Phil searches.

Beforehand everyone made issue of them bringing out the conned woman but I didn’t think it ended up being a big deal. Basically Dr. Phil called her gullible and naive for getting conned and that was that.

I think TMM guys did a good job of defending the seduction community. Sure, maybe they were a bit evasive but why paint a target on yourself when you are thrown into a shooting range.

The one thing I didn’t like was the denial of being part of the seduction community. That was a real slap in the face to all of us.

Ross sounds like me or you going back to homecoming and bragging to the high schoolers about how we set a state passing record back in ‘93. The high schoolers don’t fucking care.

He needs to quit bringing up the laurels of his past and reinvent himself in the present. Travolta didn’t get popular again in the 90’s by talking about Saturday Night Fever, instead he did Pulp Fiction.

I always wanted to know if there is a method to look at something like this. How did you see what happened to the traffic for these specific keywords around those days?

As for the show… you know the show is interesting and we can talk forever about effects it had (or not).

But there is something I really, really liked.

It’s how the entire community bonded in reply to it. Man, some of those replies on the blogs that were attacking the community (women who had seen the show).

Those replies, from just regular community guys (puas, kjs, newbies, masters, whatever)… they were so well thoughtout and…

I think they did more than any of these 2 sides on the show could ever do.

I mean I literally saw women going from attacking the community to being sympathetic with it and even apologizing. It was crazy.

It just shows the capacity that lies in this community. Unfortunately until now it’s mostly only been used up for commercial purposes. But there’s some serious world-changing stuff just lying dormant around here.
